Tailwaggers Thrift Shop is a small, boutique-style thrift store offering quality used merchandise at affordable prices. We specialize in antiques and collectibles, but also carry high-end jewelry, stylish clothing in good condition, household items (including full sets of dishware and glasses), a wide variety of books & furniture, as well as arts & crafts supplies.

Volunteers at Tailwaggers Thrift Shop in Henderson Center recently requested, and were granted, management authority over daily store operations. In the late 1970’s volunteers of what is now known as the Sequoia Humane Society began holding rummage sales to raise money to build a shelter – an effort that eventually culminated in the Tailwaggers Thrift Shop of today. In 2002 the organization hired a store manager to help expand the shop and increase its income potential. Since that time store sales have more than doubled, and the quality of donations continues to improve. With the recent resignation of the store’s paid manager, volunteers Erma Van Meter and Ann McWhorter – with support from the entire volunteer staff – offered to take over managing the shop on a volunteer basis.
