The Sequoia Humane Society is pleased to have Elly Burger as manager of Tailwaggers Thrift Shop in Henderson Center. Elly has many years retail management experience, having owned a children's store and worked as assistant manager of a women's clothing store in the mall. Many customers recognize Elly's cheerful face from Suddenlink Communications (formerly Cox Cable), where she served customers with her characteristic smile and upbeat personality.

Elly grew up around many different types of pets such as dogs, cats and horses. Her animals have been an important part of her life. She has always supported the work performed by the Sequoia Humane Society and various animal shelters.

"Being manager of Tailwaggers gives me the opportunity to feel I am doing something worthwhile for all the special pets at the Sequoia Humane Society," says Elly.

"It is my way of thanking my animals for all the joy, happiness and companionship that they have brought me throughout my life. Also, I enjoy merchandising Tailwaggers with quality used items brought in by the public and selling them at fantastic prices. It is a pleasure meeting with both the donors and the customers."
