 Most of you will remember "Mouche" from a letter we sent to you in August, which told the heart wrenching tale of a kitty so severely neglected he was covered head to toe in big matts of fur. No amount of patient brushing could de-tangle his knots, so the only solution was to shave them off and allow his fur to grow back on its own.
We're happy to report that Mouche's coat is filling in nicely! His long, silky fur finally covers all those bald spots and he's beginning to look more like a cat again. Clothed in the rich pelt nature gave him, he is starting to feel more confident, venturing out of his "house" to enjoy pets from SHS staff and volunteers, where he has become quite a favorite. Gladly, Mouche is no longer FELV positive, so he has joined the other adult cats! He's looking for a quiet home where he can lay on the couch and be brushed (he especially likes that place just at the base of his tail scrubbed:).
