Adoption Stories

Jo and Marney Hi Susan—These are a just a few of the fun pics I have of Jo and Marney "adjusting" to their new home. They are truly delightful and so worth waiting for. Thank you again for your initial fostering which I am sure helped turn them into such well adjusted, loving, curious and totally awesome girls.
Love, Lucy

Jocko and Pepper Carrie-Jocko and Pepper are simply the most wonderful cats that we've ever known! At first we couldn't understand how anyone could possibly have given them up, and then we realized that it was meant to be. Had they not been up for adoption, we wouldn't have the pleasure of sharing our home with them now. You can see by the photos that they like it here, too.

Obie Thank you so much for allowing us to adopt "Andrew". He is a wonderful addition to our family! The cats are adjusting, and the puppy seems to be making himself right at home! Our children couldn't be happier! We have renamed him Obie. We thought you would enjoy this picture of him taking a nap break on his blanket. We just love the little guy! Thanks again, Anthony and Wendy
P.S. He also will likely appear with my daughter in the Eureka High Yearbook. She insisted in having "her" puppy in the photo with her! Yep - we looove this little guy!
I just wanted to thank you guys for the opportunity to adopt my “Alice”. She is such a blessing and we love her so much. She loves her new home so much. She has already learned to sit, come and stay down. She also loves to play fetch. She is so smart! If I ever decide to get another animal I will definitely go through your organization. I am very impressed with the staff and their dedication to animals. You can truly tell they enjoy what they do.
Thanks again—Angela

Taffy and HollyHi Carrie- Holly has made herself at home in "Judy's World". She got right out of her carrier yesterday and proceeded to explore EVERYTHING! (Remember that Taffy hid for a half day.) I introduced my aussie, Max, to her right away, and they both slept on the bed with me last night. This morning, I introduced Taffy, and Holly immediately decided that this was her new best friend and playmate, and Taffy warmed up to the idea quickly. Taffy kept running inside to find Holly, then running out after a few play minutes. Risa, dominant cat, asserted herself but Holly was pretty obnoxious and eventually just ignored her, so Risa was disgusted. Later, my neighbor came over to meet Holly, and I introduced Marley, who loves baby animals. No problems. In fact, pretty soon both Marley (90lbs) and baby Holly were chasing the laser together. Yep, Holly has adopted us! She is still breathing heavily but seems better than yesterday. I'll keep you updated.
