 YOU make a difference to the Sequoia Humane Society, and I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for all you do to help us help our animal friends.
And to show our appreciation we’re changing the way we communicate with our donors – because we want you to know that your hard earned dollars are going to the programs you believe in. First, we’re going to stop clogging your mailbox with appeals for help! Yes, you’ll still receive letters from us asking for donations – we couldn’t do what we do without your support – but you’ll notice fewer pieces of correspondence with more local stories, keeping you in the loop on how your donations are being put to work to save lives. When you become a member we want you to get the full bang for your buck out of your membership, so rather than renewing all memberships in January you can renew at any time and your membership will still be good for an entire year. Plus, our membership benefits now include discounts at Tailwaggers Thrift Shop, the SHS Pet Store, and SHS events like Woofstock and the Humane Gourmet. Plus you get that warm, fuzzy feeling that comes with knowing that you’ve helped an animal in need – what could be better? Our New Year’s resolution to you – our supporters – is to show you that your donations make a difference in the lives of homeless and helpless animals in Humboldt County.
